One of my life passions is exploring light, beauty and truth from different angles. This has come together in three projects grounded in the exploration of light. One is a work of science and philosophy, another art and poetry, and the last storytelling and fiction. Though in very different spheres, they fit together in the themes and truths they explore. Below is a brief introduction of each. One of my aspirations is to complete these works in my lifetime.

I
A work of physics, philosophy, & contemplative science

Of Light and the Mind

A Science for Two Mysteries that are Entwined

The premise of this work is that the scientific and philosophical problems of light and the Mind are intimately related. A novel kind of physics and System of Everything are introduced through diagrams and tables that have broad explanatory power. I have been working on this project slowly and steadily since 2020. I intend to translate this body of work into a slideshow and lecture series format, as well as a formal book.

II
A work of poetry and art

The Light of a Dark Age

Wisdom for Mind and Heart

The premise of this book is that the journey from darkness to light is beautiful. It takes the reader on an exploration of big ideas in science, mathematics, and contemplative traditions through pithy poems and original aphorisms that are accompanied by hand-drawn illustrations. The 101 poems are rooted in the ancient Zoroastrian structure of the "flip" or poetic inversion of linguistic structure. Organized into chapters with different themes like Growth, Humility, Love, and Truth, the book offers perennial wisdom for modern times, much like the Persian poet Saadi's Golestān (Flower Garden).

III
A work of writing and fiction

The Field in the Wilderness & The Light of the Magi

A Prequel and Book Series

The premise of this series of novels is that light prevails. The prequel follows Mitra, a budding brain scientist whose Iranian grandfather gifts her a journal a few days before his death. In it he leaves a loving note for her to never lose her poetic side. Three years later Mitra has filled the notebook with poetic memories when her grandfather visits her in a dream state. Whisked away on a strangely magical adventure, Mitra learns her grandfather lived a secret life as a medicine man with ties to the three Magi who brought gifts to newborn Jesus. Now she must find medicines he buried in the Cupertino foothills. These medicines will not only save her sister but also bring her to the Garden of Light and Truth, which will be the future site of medicines that will heal an ailing world. Interwoven with Mitra's poetic journal entries and memories, the novel culminates in Mitra discovering the unexpected source of her journey when she must let go of her cherished memories. The prequel gives the reader a privileged position to know Mitra's past and unconscious in ways she does not, all as she sets out to pen the trilogy that follows: the Light of the Magi. Through a web of stories, Mitra writes of interconnected heroes and heroines supporting Light and Truth, as they heal the world.
